About Chris

Mr. Rawlings earned a B.S. in accounting from Bob Jones University and an MBA from the College of William and Mary. He is a Certified Public Accountant with over twenty years of business experience. This experience includes ten years with Landmark Communications, Inc. where he held several positions including Treasurer and Director of Corporate Accounting. Landmark’s holdings included television stations, newspapers, internet companies, and data centers. During his tenure at Landmark, he assisted with the sale of The Weather Channel. Mr. Rawlings continues to work with businesses by providing CFO services through a consulting firm where he serves as managing partner.

Mr. Rawlings has taught Accounting and Finance courses at Bob Jones University since 2008. Courses taught include Principles of Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Advanced Accounting and Investment Portfolio Management. He has had many opportunities to work with students on various projects and to assist them with career planning. He is passionate about leadership development and has had the opportunity to be involved in leadership initiatives at BJU. These initiatives include assisting with the formation of the Center for Leadership Development and the Leadership Academy. He also enjoys speaking at various leadership forums.

Mr. Rawlings is active in his local church. Through the years he has served in numerous roles including deacon, head of the building finance committee, and working with college students. He also participates in various community initiatives. He is married and has two children. He enjoys spending time with his family and is always in search of the next family adventure.
